Features and equipment of the letterbox

The F-042 XXL through wall Stainless Steel Letterbox is a further development of our bestseller F-04. Unlike the F-04, the F-042 features a further extendable depth. The almost identical F-042 is therefore suitable for particularly strong walls that the normal F-04 cannot cover. The angled shape of the mailbox allows plenty of space for your mail and makes unauthorized theft of your mail more difficult. The XXL through wall letterbox in stainless steel is equipped for a one- or two-family household.

The box of the F-042 XXL through wall Letterbox in stainless steel is made of 2 parts.

These are pushed apart or into each other. Thus you can adjust your desired depth stepless. The letterbox is designed for wall thicknesses from 26 to 40 cm. When the box is fully extended, the F-042 has a volume of 39.6 litres. You can fix the desired depth with the supplied aluminium adhesive tape.

For this XXL through wall letterbox in stainless steel we offer 4 different front panel types (without name plate, with name plate, with name plate and bell or with 2 name plates and 2 bells). You select your desired front panel in the upper part of the side.

Our note: Even if you only need one bell push button, the additional second button could be useful. This can also be assigned a different function. Wired as a light switch or door opener, you increase the added value of your letterbox.

The mailbox F-042 XXL through wall letterbox in stainless steel is made of powder-coated and galvanized sheet steel. After installation, the body is completely protected by the wall. The front panel and the removal door are made of corrosion-resistant V2A stainless steel.

A letterbox is intended for installation in a wall or a gate pillar, usually at the entrance to a house or property. The box gets a long durability by the installation. For the postman, the XXL through wall letterbox in stainless steel is ideal, because he can insert the mail from the street side. The removal takes place on the inside side.

Do you know the annoying rattling of a flap? Every time you drop a mail, you hear the flap flapping. Depending on where you live, this noise can be heard all around you. Our mailbox flap, the F-042 XXL stainless steel through wall letterbox, is dampened with a rubber lip and does not generate this annoying noise.

The mailbox slot is inclined on the inside. This integrated removal protection protects your mail from unauthorised removal.

A further plus point is the exchangeable hinges of the F-042 XXL through wall letterbox in stainless steel. These can be unscrewed and attached to the other opening side.
Our vandal-proof stainless steel bell buttons are flat flush. Thus they do not result in an attack surface for damages.

DIN standard

The F-042 XXL through wall letterbox in stainless steel was manufactured according to the letterbox standard DIN 13724. Large C4 envelopes and catalogues fit through the slot without any problems. Since the shape of the F-042 is angular, your mail falls over the horizontal piece into the deep box and is thus completely disappearing in the letterbox.

Colour, material selection and extensions

At your request, we can also manufacture the F-042 XXL through wall Letterbox in stainless steel in RAL colours. Additional buttons or name plates are also possible.

Alternative products

The classic F-04 is highly recommended for walls with a lower thickness. This is suitable for walls with 19 to 27 cm. This model is also available in our shop in <a href=https://www.letterbox24.de/F-04-Mauerdurchwurf-Briefkasten-variable-Tiefe>black or anthracite.

Some wall parts or posts are narrower than 35 cm. It requires a narrower front panel and box. Therefore you will find the F-046 in our assortment. The front panel has a width of 31 cm. The mailbox is 26 cm wide.

If you do not want to install the F-04 in a wall but want to insert it in a gabion, we recommend the F-04 in 100% stainless steel. The letterbox is also variable depth adjustable, but all components are made of V2A stainless steel.
